Customer Name: Braden C.

Issue: Crack in foundation wall and bowing walls

wall anchor installation

Braden was interested in buying a home in Bethel Park, Pa. After speaking with him and his father, it was apparent he wanted to purchase the home but was hesitant, due to the structural condition of an exterior basement wall. Braden and his agent had Matthews Wall Anchor & Waterproofing come out to give an expert opinion.

After I introduced myself to Braden and his family, I began my assessment. It didn’t take long to find a step crack that originated from the bottom left corner of the window on the exterior wall. After further inspection, it was found that the wall was bowing roughly an inch and wall anchors were recommended. Like many potential homeowners, Braden had questions and concerns about the process of installing anchors on the wall. He was pleasantly surprised to know that the entire job is hand dug to maintain the integrity of the yard, the job would take less than a full day, and that any soil or grass would be replaced after installation. Once the job was complete, Braden and his family were happy with the work and were surprised at the quick and clean work of Matthews Wall Anchor & Waterproofing.
