The installers did a great job, we could barely tell the work had been done outside!
Your installers recommended moving from 5 to 3 piers, which saved us money. We would not have questioned you installing 5 piers. Thank you for your honesty.

Excellent work and completed on time.
I would hire them again. They installed internal french drain and have not had a problem since
Foundation Repair completed June 29, 2015. I would hire them again. They did excellent work and completed it on time.
Work completed October 15, 2014 Waterproofed one wall; anchored same wall; installed sump pump and kitchen pipe. I would hire them again and give them a rating of 5.
Foundation Repair - they installed drain tile and sump pump in basement. I would hire them again and give them a 5 star rating.
They anchored the back of the garage. The work that has been completed was done well. They have a second stage to do and that work is on the schedule to be done shortly. So far the work done and the crew that came have been very good.
We used Matthews Wall Anchor for foundation repair services. I would recommend them to anybody. The guys who actually did the work were extremely professional.
Examined an above ground bulging cement block garage foundation. Marty Sosnoski was very professional. He explained the problem and how I could repair it myself. He said that it was not the type of work that they do. I would definitely call him again.
Home was built in 1958. Reinforced cracked basement walls with metal rods was the work performed. It went well. They did their work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. The walls are stable now. I give them a 5 star rating!
They came to my home to give me an estimate. They were honest with me and said there was no need for work at this time. I had them out for a third opinion. They offered to help in the future if need be. I would hire them again!
They did my foundation repair and were excellent! 5 Star Rating! I would hire them again.
Description of work: Put in seven anchors on a bank barn wall. Our horses had to be out of the barn due to the noise and safety of the workers in their stalls. Company understood the weather dynamics coming in and they worked well beyond their usual work day so that the horses could be back, safe, in their stalls that night. All because these men understood the need to shelter these horses, I will use them again. When they left, there was very little sign that they had ever been here, other than the nice new anchors. I would use them again.
Description of work: Installed six wall anchors and pins to stabilize one foundation wall. Also installed interior french drain, pump and battery backup. Work crew arrived on time and completed all work within the planned duration. Basement is now dry and all equipment is operational. The work was performed for approximately 30% less than the estimated cost provided by a competitor for a similar solution.
Description of work: Quote and evaluation was requested on basement block cracking for a home under contract for purchase. I had asked for a quote on what I thought would be significant foundation work on a home we are purchasing. With very little notice, Damien Ozoskey came to the site on a Saturday morning. He pointed out to me that the basement cracking I observed did not actually impact the footer, and that there was nothing to do except correct outside gutters and downspouts. Unlike firms which try to invent or inflate work to generate revenue, Damien took the high ground. If I ever need such work in the future, I would not hesitate to call Damien at Matthews Wall Anchor.
Description of work: Removal of old cement patio, installation of exterior french drain and a rubber membrane outside the house. There were wall anchors in part of our foundation when we bought our house in 2007. We noticed shifting on one wall and were having rain water in our basement. Matthews was quite responsive. Turns out that there was an old cement patio underneath a wooden one that was pushing against the foundation. Matthews took out the old patio for a nominal charge and even hauled away the wood from the wooden patio which we had torn out for free. They dug the french drain for free and only charged us for the gravel and rubber membrane. They did a great deal of work for a reasonable price. Really, none of this was warranted but they treated it like it was. Since then the cracks in our walls have closed and our basement is dry. I would definitely hire them again!
I had to hire them to repair a brick wall that I have that was caving in. They are professional, punctual, and efficient. I have nothing bad to say about this company. They knew exactly what they were doing and I would use them again.
Description of work: I used Matthews Wall Anchor for underpinning. They really do an excellent job. Engineers and realtors recommend them a lot. They are very professional. They showed up when they said they would and they finished the project when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. They came with a warranty. The price was great as well. They did all the necessary permits and inspections. Would definitely hire them again.
Description of work: About 15 years ago we had Mathews put wall anchors in the front of our house. We were very pleased with the work that they had done, so when we discovered big problems on another wall in our basement, we had them come in as one of the bidders. They were professional and they did have the lowest bid for the work. However, we decided to take another bid because of some extra work that would be done. Comments: I would recommend Matthews based on the original work that they did for us and based on their professionalism. They also offer the best warranty on their work. I got the other bidder to match Matthews\' warranty before I would accept their bid.
Description of work: We had serious foundation problems with a bowed and cracked wall in basement. We had wall anchors put in on the front and one side of the house. Comments: Went very well, the wall actually moved back over 5 inches! Workers were very efficient, yard was put back together satisfactorily. Really well done job and no complaints. Would hire them again!
Home built in 1973. Description of work: Company did wall anchors for previous owner of home. I noticed some water in the basement garage and called Matthews Wall Anchor. A technician came to the house promptly and put a seal on the wall anchor. No charge for the service as it was covered under warranty. I have not seen any water in the garage since. they were excellent!
I called them in regards to a serious mold problem I have in one of my bedroom cupboards. They were very professional and knowledgeable in providing information. However, most of my house sits on a cement slab, including the bedroom. Their company works primarily on basement foundations so they were unable to be of assistance. I would hire them again for basement foundation problems.
Description of Work: Dug a french drain inside the basement along all exterior walls. Installed a sump pump Installed brite-white along all interior walls. Redirected basement floor drain to the french drain system. they added a few features that were not in the original contract, like a special drain inside the basement door. that really added to the thoroughness of their work.Comments: Overall, they did an excellent job. It has been over a year since the work was completed, and I wanted to wait until we had significant rainfall (Sandy just came through) to make a judgement. Prior to their work, the basement would get wet in the most minor of rainfalls. The basement has remained dry since the day they completed installation. I did run into one issue with the team leader as to how the brite-white wall covering should be installed but Matthew\'s responded by immediately sending out a specialist to take care of the problem. Their workmanship on the brite-white wall covering was excellent as was the attention to detail on the cement work. Everything was cleaned up and done with a day early. I would definitely hire them again!
Description of work: Stabilized my porch Comments: The company was on time, did an excellent job and finished in a timely manner. I would definitely hire them again!
Description of work: They have come and each time they take a section of my retaining wall and help to anchor it. Comments: They are very courteous. They are hard workers. They do a great job!
Home build year: 1955 Description of work: Installed a french drain and pump. Comments: I would recommend Matthews Wall Anchor. After two years the pump broke and the warranty was good for one year. I called them and said this was an expensive job, the owner called me back and they came out replaced the pump at no charge and give ma a five year warranty. I will use them again because they did do right with the pump.
Home build year: 1950 Description of work: We got a quote from them for basement waterproofing. They were going to install couple inch blueboard, they were going to do some landscaping and they were going to put tar on the building. Comments: I would definitely tell a friend about them. The gentlemen was very knowledgeable, very polite, and very respectful. He would bond well with even older people and that is not always the case. He was on time and when he said he was going to be here and he took the time to explain things. He put it in terms so that I could explain it to my husband. We are going to go ahead with the work.
Description of work: We had cracks in the mortar joints of one of our basement foundation walls, and the wall was slightly bowed. The problem was not yet severe. We did not have any water problems. Comments: We contacted Matthews Wall Anchor at the recommendation of a neighbor who is an engineer. Matthews sent a representative (Damien) to our house the morning after I placed the call. Damien explained the process thoroughly (which was exactly as described on their website). As our neighbor predicated, we needed a total of 5 wall anchors. Our neighbor said it would probably cost $5,000, so we were pleasantly surprised when the cost was quoted as $3,000. The work was completed in its entirety, one week after Damien was here. I was amazed that the process took only about 5 hours, although the crew apologized that it took that long as they had a problem with a compressor which delayed things a bit. They dug 5 deep holes in the front yard, but were able to do this without impacting any shrubbery, planting beds, or tress. In the basement the 5 anchors (which are about 12 inches by 24 inches) were installed in the wall with minimal dust or disruption. I have to commend the crew, as they needed to work around my husband\'s very large and elaborate model train layout. They were very careful to not disturb things to the extent possible. (When Damien came to the house he photographed the room, and the train layout, so the crew knew about this obstacle.) The crew was pleasant, professional and polite and explained everything. They even very cheerfully put up with our overly enthusiastic young dog. They did a very nice job cleaning up, especially in the front yard. My husband was amazed when he came home because they did such a good job replacing the dirt and sod it looked like not work had been done. The crew reviewed the 50-year transferable warranty with me and made sure I knew how to make any adjustment to the wall anchors, if needed. Matthews also takes care of having the utility companies come to your home before the work id done to made the location of their lines, and they knew that in our municipality we did not need to get a permit for the work. We were very pleased with the entire process and would definitely recommend Matthews Wall Anchor.
Yes Approximate Cost: $6,650.00 Home Build Year: 1964 Description Of Work: The gentleman who originally evaluated my situation and gave me an estimate for services said 13 wall anchors would be needed along two walls of my basement to stabilize its damage due to clay heave. He did check the outside of the house to see about placement and sloping needed for the anchors. He said that the current cracks might close some, but probably would not close completely. I contracted for the work to be done when I could be available to be present. I especially based my decision on the fact that the company issues a 50 year transferable warranty which will enable me to sell my house at some time in the future. Two workers arrived the morning agreed upon and upon checking out my basement layout, with chimney involvement, quickly determined that the initial estimate and placements would not work. After consulting with their office, they set to work putting in 11 wall anchors. The job was completed within the two days as initially estimated and the results were as promised. The results, by the end of the summer, with tightening of the bolts with the purchased torque wrench, were actually better than I expected. The wall cracks almost completely closed and will need little more than a touch of caulk and fresh wall paint throughout the basement. The steel plates have been primed with paint, leaving the tightening bolts uncovered, and the preparation for painting is progressing. My only negative comment deals with the young men who actually installed the anchors. It seemed to me that the job could have been finished a half day earlier than the full two days. When I checked on their progress periodicly, they were often using their cell phones, texting, taking breaks or smoking in their truck. Maybe these activities are now just an expected part of the work day. I did not address them, but did include these comments on the response card that Matthews Wall Anchor sent me. Ten days after the job was completed I did finally receive the warranty certificate. Overall I was pleased with the work and can recommend the company to others
Chimney Repair Excavating Foundation Repair Services Performed: Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $6,400.00 Home Build Year: 1955 Description Of Work: Our three season porch on the rear of the house and our fireplace chimney on another side of the house were detaching from the house (thanks to the previous owner\\\'s incredibly cheap and shoddy work.) Matthew\\\'s Wall Anchor Service was recommended to us by a contractor we had consulted last summer (and we checked them out on Angie\\\'s List...) The estimator Damien arrived exactly on schedule, did not feed me any sales schtick or apply any pressure whatsoever (GREATLY, TRULY APPRECIATED) and had a written estimate, compete with diagrams, prepared in what seemed like no time. Their estimate was not the lowest or highest but based on word-of-mouth, Angie\\\'s List and the total professionalism of Damien we couldn\\\'t go with anyone else. We called them the next day and notified them that we would accept their estimate. Bonnie and Rhonda scheduled and confirmed dates and times and were always pleasant and professional on the phone. Bill and his crew arrived precisely as scheduled and were polite, friendly and patient with this relatively clueless homeowner\\\'s questions. They went right to work and did two separate excavations prior to installing five piers; two for the fireplace chimney wall and three for the porch. Afterwards they disposed of the shrubbery that had to be removed and re-filled the excavations. Member Comments: This was probably one of the best contractor experiences we\\\'ve ever had. Every aspect of the experience was smooth and the professionalism of everyone we dealt with was exceptional. There was one heart-stopping moment when Bill said, \\\"we have a problem.\\\" Turns out that a part wasn\\\'t loaded on the truck and they would have to wait about an hour for it to be delivered. The footer beneath the porch had collapsed; Bill said it\\\'s the first time he has ever seen that. (Thank you cheapskate former owner!) The crew finished the job in one day and the estimate was two to three days. This was yet another terrific and wonderful facet of this experience. Those gentlemen worked really hard all day - I lurked around watching off and on all day. They cleaned up everything and there is barely a trace that they were here other than the fresh dirt atop the excavated areas. With any kind of luck we will never need their services again, but if we do, we won\\\'t bother getting other bids. It means a lot to be comfortable with a contractor who is professional in every way and to be completely satisfied with the experience.
This was one of five companies from which we received estimates on foundation repair work for a slightly bowed foundation wall. Note that the lowest price was one half of the highest price. This company\\\'s price was in the middle. While we did not decide in favor of Matthews, it was a difficult decision. All of the companies were very responsive and mostly professional. Each of them had a different opinion on the work that needed to be done. The factors that we considered in making our decision were the warranties (they varied considerably), price, recommendations, Angie\\\'s List rating, BBB rating, and references. Member Comments: The estimate and proposal process went well.
The corner of my foundation sank and broke away from the house and was significantly leaning outward. Matthews installed a five pier support system and with the use of wall anchors, pulled my wall back to almost its original position. Member Comments: Not too often can you say that a company is truly amazing. Matthews is truly amazing. They ran into a variety of problems with my foundation and the process, but wanted to ensure the job would be satisfactorily completed and went above and beyond to fix my foundation problem. It is very rare these days that a company does what they say they will do and work towards the customer\\\'s total satisfaction. They worked with me, explained everything they were doing, what was going well and what was not and offered suggestions on how to correct the problem. I was absolutely amazed at the level of dedication, professionalism, and hard work that every single member of the company provided. Sometimes things can be challenging and often to no fault of anyone, but these guys made it right. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are the best. If you have ANY foundation issues, you would be crazy not to contact Matthews. They are absolutely top notch in every possible way! Hats off to you and everyone at your company!
Hire Again: Yes Home Build Year: 1975 Description Of Work: A professional engineer from Matthews Wall Anchor Service came out in end July/early August of 2011. He did basement waterproofing inspection. He checked a couple of cracks in the basement wall and in the floor. He said the cracks were very slight, so there was nothing that was any problem at all. Member Comments: He gave me a good look at the stuff and put me at ease. There was no charge. There were a couple of cracks in the wall in the basement. It is a full basement, but it is not finished. I am not interested in doing that anyway, but there were a couple of cracks. There was a crack in the floor, so I was just a little nervous about it. I have had some bad rains. I have had a little bit of water in there. I wanted to make sure that the structure was sound. He went through the whole basement, went through the walls, and moved some stuff around to get some checks. He said the structure was sound. He said there was nothing there that he could even feel comfortable in suggesting that I do or try to sell me anything. He gave me a couple of suggestions. The cracks are very slight, and he said I can get some Sakrete ready mix concrete and fill it up if I would like to do that. He told me to keep an eye on it, and if it increases by any chance to give him a call.
I contacted several contractors, and ended up back with Matthews. The other contractors were either too expensive or not knowledgable.
We had multiple wall anchors installed on two walls that had MAJOR buckling and cracking. Member Comments: Apart from a scheduling mix-up (which was the office\\\'s fault and not the workers), we were extremely pleased with the work done. The guys were punctual and courteous and did an great job. We had major foundation issues (cracked and buckled walls) and they got the wall back straight. The wall actually moved back 5 inches from I-beam supports we had installed earlier (in a failed effort to solve problem). They cleaned up everything before they left. I would definitely recommend using Matthews, the difference in the walls is really amazing.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $3,700.00 Home Build Year: 1918 Description Of Work: An earth-contact wall of our garage was seriously bowed and needed to be stabilized and anchored. We worked with Bud Norton and the wall anchors were installed; the walls are now straight and secure. Member Comments: We were very pleased with the job performed. It was completed in a timely manner as promised, and the work is guaranteed for fifty years. I would highly recommend Bud and his crew.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $8,900.00 Description Of Work: Installed 7 piers to stabilize the foundation of my house. Originally 4 piers were to be installed outside and 3 inside but upon their arrival they decided to put all 7 piers inside. This was due to difficulty accessing the side yard with heavy equipment, since the houses in my neighborhood are fairly close together. The interior piering included breaking up concrete in the basement, installing the piers and patching the concrete. Member Comments: I got several opinions and estimates prior to deciding to do the piering. Once i signed the contract with Matthews the work was scheduled for several months later due to their current workload. This was to be a 2-day project, and i did plan to be off of work those days. The first day of work we did have some bad weather, and i did receive a call from the foreman that they would be several hours late. They were also several hours late the next day, and did leave a little early both days apparently due to some problems with one of their trucks. This caused them to have to come a third day, and they were able to finish the work the third day. They were professional, did clean up well, and did their best to resolve the issues that i had with the foundation. They were able to close up the exterior cracks to some degree, and to raise the corner of the house somewhat. There was some minor damage to the panneling of the basement as they attempted to install the piers, and this was a known risk.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $3,000.00 Home Build Year: 1940 Description Of Work: Matthews Wall Anchor Service installed wall anchors in our garage in September. Member Comments: They did a good job. They came out and were done in like a morning. I thought it would take much longer than that. We had cracks in the garage and they put in wall anchors. There is a big metal plate on the wall and I guess they drill them into the ground. So that’s how wall anchors are. Everything seems to be working fine. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. I didn’t compare their price with anybody else. It took a while to schedule since they were really busy. They took a month to get the work done. They came out within two days to give us the quote. They were very good and the guys who came out were great.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $12,000.00 Description Of Work: We had foundation settling (possibly due to water damage/flooding) which caused wall cracks and bowing. After having a structural engineer assess the problem we decided to use Matthews Wall Anchor to reinforce the foundation. They installed several support piers, some inside and some outside the basement. They also used a screw anchor to repair the extremely bowed wall. Pier installation involves digging out the foundation, placing hydraulic piers under the bottom, loading the piers, then replacing the dirt (and repouring the cement floor for piers in the basement). Member Comments: Called the company and quickly got an appointment with a rep. The sales rep was knowledgeable about their product but also called in a very experienced installer to help him decide how to spec the job and to answer my questions. The estimate included a lot of details about their product, and references. We had to wait about a month to get on the work schedule, which was fine since the sales rep warned us about it and we were out of town part of that time anyway. The crew arrived very early in the morning but didn\\\'t do anything noisy until a decent hour. Work took about 5 days. For the outside piers, they excavated by hand to expose a 4\\\' section of the foundation. None of our shrubs were harmed. In the basement, they dug in two areas. They jackhammered the cement floor and removed all the debris. They put up plastic sheeting to protect our stuff, but it was still very dusty. They were very conscientious about cleaning up, but they can only do so much. When the foundation was exposed outside, the crew discovered that the bottom didn\\\'t have a large enough footer stone to support the external piers as planned. At first they suggested pouring a concrete footer in that area, but then changed the plan to move the pier and use a wall anchor to repair the bulging wall. The senior tech who helped with the estimate came by several times and helped adjust the plan and explained all the changes to me. I don\\\'t have a problem with changes if we get to the right solution, and I think he did. After excavating and placing all the piers, they tensioned them all at the same time. They watched the cracks in the brick house to determine how much to lift the foundation. They didn\\\'t get all of the cracks to close as they\\\'d hoped, but they improved the situation a lot. Then they re-filled the holes and repaired the basement floor. They had to work a bit late to finish the floor, then they came back the next week (Monday or Tuesday?) to put the basement sink and washer & dryer back in place. (They moved and replaced our cement sink, washer, and gas dryer with no problems.) They also patched up a downspout to help keep water out of the basement. Things that would have made me more confident about their work (1) Having a structural engineer on their staff to help explain things to me (2) Being more cautious about the condition of the foundation stone - our engineer said that the stone might be soft and need replacing but the Matthews crew was confident it wouldn\\\'t be a problem and I guess it wasn\\\'t. Excavating inside doesn\\\'t let you see the exterior of the stone where it would be degraded. The company does not do brick repair (like repointing to help close the cracks) or plaster repair or landscaping to help keep water away from the foundation. They did make some recommendations for additional work. It would be helpful if they could recommend vendors for the rest of the repairs. The repairs came with a good warranty.
Hire Again: Yes Home Build Year: 0 Description Of Work: I had them come out to look at a problem I was having and they said that my problem was not really serious enough to warrant their services and gave me great advice as to how to proceed. It is great to run into people who will not fix something that really does not need to be fixed. Member Comments: Excellent!
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $2,950.00 Home Build Year: 1955 Description Of Work: Much to my dismay, after tearing down the drywall in my basement I found a slight bow in my foundation. I hire mathews to place 5 wall anchors to support and stop the movement. Member Comments: So far so good. It\\\'s funny, I explored all of the methods (other companies use other methods) for this repair and chose this method on gut feeling alone. Those guys worked HARD. It\\\'s a tough job to dig those holes especially with the rock that was in my yard......did i mention how hard those guys worked? Only time will tell if the foundation ever moves again, because the cracks were very slight on my 50 year old home. Fingers are crossed! As far as professionalism goes, I was happy with the experience. From the salesman to the workers.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $5,500.00 Home Build Year: 1946 Description Of Work: Matthews Wall Anchor Service did some foundation work. Member Comments: My experience with them was very good. They did a very good job. The price was competitive and they came out and did everything in one day. I would give them an A on everything. I was really pleased with them.
Hire Again: Yes Home Build Year: 1940 Description Of Work: They straightened some walls that were caving in and installed a French drain inside. Member Comments: They were very good. They were pleasant. They showed up when they were supposed to. And they kept coming in to make sure the system was working as it should and to make any adjustments that were needed.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $3,000.00 Home Build Year: 1981 Description Of Work: Installed 5 wall anchors in our basement wall to stop foundation cracks from progressing and to stabilize the wall. Member Comments: Very well. The installers showed up promptly and got right to work. They evaluated whether an additional anchor was required in the front corner and determined it was not. They worked quickly and quietly and completed the work in less time than was originally expected. They cleaned up everything. In addition, they gave us some helpful suggestions on things, that we could do to prevent water from continuing to impact the wall. This is the second time we hired Matthews, they installed anchors on the front foundation wall 10 years ago. We live in a wet area with heavy clay soil, so foundation problems like ours are common. Matthews knew just what needed to be done.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $2,300.00 Home Build Year: 1932 Description Of Work: I hired this company to install 2 piers to stabilize my foundation. Member Comments: I dealt with Bud Norton. I thought this company did a great job. I shopped around and Matthews was the best of what was out there. I did however expect that a company like this would do an on site follow up and their clean up was good but not excellent.
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $4,570.00 Description Of Work: Installed 72 feet of waterguard pipe in my basement floor. Removed approximately 12\\\" section of concrete floor, installed pipe, replaced floor. Installed a sump pump. Replaced 2 downspout elbows. Applied blacktop patch to corner of driveway adjacent to basement. Member Comments: Arrived promptly at appointed time. Very courteous and worked quickly and professionally. Very efficient. Careful in moving and covering my property and placing everything back in place when job complete. Did a great job and finished the job in ONE DAY!
Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $4,450.00 Home Build Year: 1990 Description Of Work: I had the back of my home a family room area of aprox 20 by 30\\\' sinking on one end and cracking my dryrock and basement walls. the cracks had become aprox 1/2\\\' in size and were getting larger. They put in 4 wall ancors and raised the area that was sinkin back to its original place. they used a wall ancor that attached to my foundation and was drilled and ancored to the bedrock layer to insure no further settlement. they dug 4 holes aprox 3 ft by 3 ft to install these wall ancors and cut a whole in my deck to gain acces to one of the areas of the wall anchor locations. I have a large old maple tree that is located aprox 6 \\\' from two of the wall anchor excavations and they needed to cut thru the roots to complete the work. Member Comments: The estimate was professionally done and their system was explained throughly by the salesman. I was concerned about damage to a large older tree and to my yard so I asked for the work to be done by hand and to limit the access of any large machinery on my lawn. The work was done over two days and I confirmed these requirements of work by hand with the two person crew. The second day we had some rain and wet snow and I was unable to be present and they took a bobcat and trenching machine onto my property and caused additional damge to my lawn and my deck. The work was done in a timely manner and within the established estimate However I have incurred some additional costs to repair my deck and bring in some top soil and seed to repair some areas of my lawn that were damaged.I would hire the company again but would be cautious of the crew doing the work and be sure to supervise. Their system and anchors are one of the best and priced competively.

Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $14,900.00 Home Build Year: 1977 Description Of Work: MATTHEWS INSTALLED 17 WALL ANCHORS AND STRAIGHTENED UP 3 BADLY BOWED WALLS, WRAPPED THE FOUNDATION WITH DELTA SHEET FOR WATERPROOFING, EXCAVATED THE ENTIRE FOUNDATION, INSTALLED A FRENCH DRAIN AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE FOUNDATION, INSTALLED NEW SUMP PUMP AND PIT, INSTALLED NEW DOUNSPOUT DRAINS, AND REPLACED SHATTERED BLOCK, AND SMOOTHED OUT THE DIRT EXCAVATED IN THE PLACE I ASKED THEM TO PUT IT IN. OF ALL THE COMPANIES I CHECK WITH, MATTHEWS WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS WILLING TO EXCAVATE THE DIRT FROM THE OUTSIDE FOR A SET FEE. THIS WAS THE REASON I HIRED THEM AS THEIR FEE WAS WAY BELOW THE COMPETITION FOR EXCAVATION AND I FELT THIS WAS THE RIGHT WAY TO REPAIR THE WALLS. THEY ALSO GIVE A 50 YEAR WARRANTY ON THEIR WORK. Member Comments: I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THE CREW FROM MATTHEWS. DONNIE, TOM AND JOHN WORKED NON STOP FOR 3 DAYS FROM 7 AM UNTIL 9-10 PM. EVEN AFTER THEIR VEHICLES WERE BROKEN IN TO AND THEIR TOOLS STOLEN, THEY MANAGED TO COMPLETE THE JOB IN 4 DAYS. THEY WERE COURTEOUS, COMPETENT AND SKILLFULL IN THEIR DUTIES AND THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE NORMAL QUOTED ITEMS FOR THE JOB. THEY TREATED MY HOME AS IF IT WAS THEIRS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU NEED YOUR WALLS STRAIGHTENED, THAT YOU CALL MATTHEWS. THEY WORK IN THE CENTRAL OHIO AREA SO DON\\\'T LET THE ADDRESS SWAY YOU.
