Issue: Sunken Foundation in a Rootstown, Ohio Home

Our client in Rootstown had a foundation that was settling unevenly. The soil under the footer had shrunk from drying out and was causing the walls to sink. The left and right garage wall and the rear wall that went up to their deck were all sinking into the earth.

The crew of experts from Matthews Wall Anchor & Waterproofing dug out the footer according to OSHA standards and the footer was cut out to install the pier bracket directly under the block. Nineteen piers were installed to secure the foundation and lift it to the desired height.

We installed the piers, hooked up the hydraulics, and lifted the foundation, straightening out the walls. Once everything was in place, we capped the piers and backfilled the grade.
